        Verdict

        GARRUS finished a respectable third at Windsor on his debut and normal progress should see Jeremy Noseda’s colt bang there at the finish. He’s preferred to Godolphin representative Shellbrook, a well beaten third on the all-weather back in May and expected to finish closer in this. Both Jack's Point and Penarth Pier disappointed last time when returning losing favourites having shown ability on their earlier debuts while In The Cove is related to winners in France and is preferred to Colonel Slade of the newcomers.
