John Gosden has won the last two renewals of this Oaks trial with high-class fillies Jazzi Top and Taghrooda. He runs recent maiden winner SWISS RANGE today, who may not be in the Oaks as yet but has entries in the Ribblesdale and Coronation Cup at Ascot. Even Song has a string of fancy entries, including the Oaks, and the half-sister to top-class filly Simple Verse won her maiden at Leopardstown in October. First Victory lost her unbeaten record when only sixth in the Nell Gywn here and is penalised for winning a Group 3 last season but Australian Queen is a half-sister to stablemate and last year’s Juddmonte heroine Arabian Queen, who runs earlier on the card. Tiptree beat the selection here in October so Luca Cumani’s Oaks entry is another to consider.
