        In depth

        Verdict

Adalene was second yet again when sent off favourite at Lingfield and Highwayman is another frustrating type. On Fire is having his first start since May but Codeshare was placed in a bumper last month and could go well on his first start in this code. A 200,000gns yearling, JOHN MILTON was sold by Godolphin for £9,000 earlier this year and wasn’t disgraced when third over a mile here on his racecourse debut for new connections. This extra distance should suit and he gets a speculative vote to come out best.
