Alan King sends just one runner on the long journey north and Fast Forward was heavily supported at Kempton last time though never got into contention. Ed Dunlop also has just the one runner here today and ALPHONSE LE GRANDE may turn out to be a bit better than these. A son of Sea The Stars, he ran very well when runner-up at Kempton last month and didn’t quite get the run of the race on a return visit. Dajarus made all over 7f here and very nearly defied a 5lb rise on a return visit though needs to stay the extra furlong. Maggie’s Joy has only had four runs and never raced on an artificial surface.
