In depth

Verdict

Kealshore Boy is taken to open his account over hurdles at the third time of asking with Description and Breakwater House put forward to fill the placings. Howard Johnsons' charge entered this jumps season with high expectations on the basis of his bumper form which was rounded off with a superb second in the Aintree version. A heavy fall on his debut, when appearing to be outpaced early on was followed by a disappointing effort in a Sandown Grade 2 novice hurdle. On a retrieving mission here, Kealshore Boy should possess too much class for these rivals, although the drop back to 2M is a slight concern. Description makes his debut for the Suzy Foster yard having landed a ladies bumper in Ireland. The manner of that bumper victory suggested that a step up in trip would suit while the form of that bumper appears well below average. Breakwater House makes his hurdling debut having landed a Newcastle bumper 12 months ago. According to his trainer he is an exciting prospect but the form of his bumper would again be a slight concern along with the drying ground conditions. Market moves for Kyoto Summit should be noted but Kealshore Boy is the selection to get off the mark over obstacles.
