Verdict

A few of these have shown more than enough to land an ordinary maiden but SHALEEK should take all the beating. Roger Varian's filly looks at home on an easy surface and deserves to get her head in front after a string of placed efforts in this grade. The danger may be Ensejaam, who found only one too good at Newbury and Goodwood earlier this year. She was beaten more than 12 lengths when favourite over 1m at Salisbury last time however. Sabore was also sent off favourite on her latest start, at Beverley, but may not be progressing. Phase Shift has been placed in six of her eight starts but returns from a lay-off and shouldn't be good enough here.
