      Verdict

Old News is 1-13 around here but is 5lb lower than his last winning mark. Mr Trevor initiated a Tapeta double here last month then couldn't handle heavy ground at Catterick while course and distance winner Novak didn't appreciate front-running when favourite here last week. AFTA PARTY (NAP) was having his first start for Alice Haynes when headed close home by the in-form Broxi at Southwell so looks the one to beat.
