GEORGE RIDSDALE went close at Ayr bidding for a hat-trick. Mick Easterby’s charge had earlier finished well ahead of Stand Free when scoring over course and distance and the latter has subsequently placed back here. Clifftop Heaven won over track and trip with Violette Szabo back in third last time and is another to consider while Armed has tumbled down the weights and finished closer at Windsor last time.
