Madrasa disappointed when favourite at Thirsk earlier this month but his earlier form puts him firmly in the picture for this and he beat the consistent Sally Friday over the trip at Redcar last month. Tartan Jura's best form is over 2m and further, however, while Medieval Bishop was put up 8lb for winning a lesser contest over a shorter trip at Thirsk in June. MISTER PAGAN has his sights lowered after finishing tailed off at York and an earlier fourth at Newcastle suggests he'll be a major factor in this off a lower mark. He gets the vote, though Mont Blanc ran well on his first start for Jane Chapple-Hyam at Windsor and shouldn't be far away if he lasts home over the longer trip.
