    THAAYER held off a strong challenge from the re-opposing Exhalation when making all over track and trip. He can go close again racing off a similar mark. Viva Voce has something prove over this far but placed over 7f here last time and is less exposed than Catterick runner-up Nordic Fire while Van Dijk won at Ayr on his penultimate start and Rocket Dancer went close at Pontefract earlier.
