        Verdict

        Captain Vallo finished in front of Blackheath when fourth at Redcar recently though had earlier finished behind runner-up Hail Sezer at the same track. Canford Bay took advantage of a slide down the weights when winning at Wolverhampton last month with Water Of Leith back in fifth but THORNABY PEARL may prove the one to side with. The latter won at Doncaster before a decent effort in last week’s Ayr Bronze Cup and Adrian Nicholls’ charge will find this easier.
