Recent Southwell winner Decision Maker has also won here in the past but all three victories to date came over shorter trips and BILLY WEDGE is preferred. The latter returned a clear winner over course and distance last month and is taken to defy a 5lb rise given this doesn’t look a strong contest. Bugler Bob has won over 6f here but has plenty to prove on the evidence of an earlier effort over this longer trip while Tiercel scored over course and distance last year but has struggled subsequently.
