Bagber is likely to be in warm order in the market but we'll take a chance that ORNITHOLOGY can begin to live up to early expectations and take this maiden with Final Victory also likely to be involved. The selection was obviously well regarded by connections having been thrown in at the deep end on debut and it was no surprise he was well held by the likes of Crowded House and leading Derby contender Alwaary. He later narrowly missed out on landing a better maiden than this on his third start and after an encouraging re-appearance he should go well in this lesser grade. Bagber has a bit to find on the pick based on official ratings but this Diktat colt has been running well of late with limited success and should benefit for this step up in trip. Final Victory is one of the least exposed here and improved from his debut effort to place in a similar race over this trip where the form has been franked last time. Kaloni is given a chance on the BHA ratings but this looks a bit of a test after 218 days off while the only other to consider is Northside Prince who seems to have trained on well for Alan Swinbank. Another tricky maiden to consider then but Ornithology has us twitching more than most.
