In depth

Verdict

SPIRIT OF THE VALE has won twice over course and distance in her last three starts and beaten both Kerry Icon and Lord Rob in the process. She can effectively race off a lower mark than her latest success if taking an apprentice’s allowance into consideration. Kicking The Can finished ahead of King Oswald and Leonard Thomas when beaten a length at Wolverhampton last time but has still only won a maide in 32 starts while Strummer makes his reappearance off a 5lb higher mark than when winning at Wolverhampton in October.
