        Verdict

        Pinnata won easily at Kempton last month but drops back in trip raised 8lb today. Gallipoli is upped in class after scoring at Chelmsford though is still preferred to stablemate Starlight Romance while recent runners-up Areen Heart and Pure Shores are others facing more difficult tasks in this. Battered has decent handicap form for the Haggas yard but has switched stables and hasn’t raced since 2017 while five wins at Chelmsford suggests Lucymai saves her best for that track and she could only mange fourth at Wolverhampton last time. STRAIGHT RIGHT beat Gallipoli over track and trip last year and finished a decent second in a tough conditions race over a mile at Lingfield recently. Back over 7f today, Andrew Balding’s charge gets the nod.
