Why The Long Face went in at a big price last time but there was no fluke about his success and Richard Guest's charge can oblige again, with Kasthari and My Line best of the rest. Why The Long Face caused an upset when lowering the colours of the odds-on Bramlynn Brook at Sedgefield 11 days ago, but it came as no surprise to his trainer who pointed out that he was a decent miler on the Flat in New Zealand, and shapes as though he will stay three miles over timber this season. He will again take some stopping here and should be supported to follow up. Kasthari was a useful stayer on the level but was only third to Shayadi on his debut over timber here before Christmas and will need to show a bit more if he is to beat the selection, while My Line is starting to look a bit exposed already. The market should tell us if either of Peter Beaumont's pair, Flight Command and Fencote, is fancied, and Michaels Dream is worth noting for place purposes. For win purposes though, Why The Long Face has to be the percentage call.
