The Butterwick Kid disappointed on his return at Haydock last month and is difficult to recommend with any confidence so the vote goes to Mytimie, who is marginally preferred to Parade Racer. The last mentioned comes here on the back of a point-to-point win and has to be respected back over regulation fences but faces no easy task in giving Mytimie 6lbs. David Parker's gelding had some decent form in handicaps when with Alan Parker and, at the age of nine, still has youth on his side in comparison to some of his rivals. He too has a recent point-to-point win to his name and is just preferred. Dual winning pointer Mr Mahdlo and the 12-year-old Primitive Way are both worthy of a mention but Mytimie has plenty in his favour and gets the nod.
