Verdict

The Menstone Gem stepped up from a promising Thirsk debut to score with something to spare over course and distance last month in a manner suggesting there's more to come from the Galileo Gold gelding. However, his penalty makes life more difficult against some interesting opponents including the unraced pair of Verona Star and AJS Barood. Scotch Mistress delivered a promising Chelmsford debut but DUBAI IMMO is the preference after overcoming a tardy start on debut here before only succumbing by a head over this trip. He'll surely improve and can go one better.
