        Verdict

Easter Vic's win at Ayr earlier this month was a bit of a bolt out of the blue and it remains to be seen if Robert Goldie's 10-year-old can repeat his effort here off a 9lb higher mark. Sam Patch appears to have improved a little for the fitting of cheekpieces and wouldn't be without a chance while Talesofriverbank has finished third on all three outings since returning from injury, including twice around here. There's just a chance that this step up in trip will suit KNOCKAVEEN however and, with the excellent Paul Gallagher taking 5lb off her back, Andrew Crook's mare may be worth a small wager off a low weight.
