Verdict

TROOPER TURNBULL appeared to have a bit in hand when scoring on just his second start over fences at Wetherby and looks the one to beat. Burrows Diamond, a dual hurdles winner in the spring, was in touch when falling four out in that Wetherby event but winning point-to-pointer Maid O'malley has been making too many mistakes over regulation fences. Avoid De Master would have won at Hexham with a better round of jumping while Ugo Du Misselot makes his chasing debut.
