Vizier only won a Hamilton maiden in September and is trying a new trip, though has been placed on Tapeta at Wolverhampton. Corton Lad has been very consistent this year and reverts to his optimum distance having finished fourth here last time over 1m4f. Most of Salmon Sushi's recent runs have been over that longer trip but he is effective over 1m2f, as he showed at Doncaster and Ripon in the summer. LOVEABLE HELEN won her maiden over course and distance in August by seven lengths. She's finished last in a couple of subsequent handicaps but this is only her fifth start and the fitting of headgear looks a worthwhile experiment.
