Bachelor made a successful raid on Kempton last month and Joseph O’Brien’s charge is only 3lb higher on his return. Both Sheriff and Bad Dog won lower grade handicaps on their penultimate outings but the former has been raised a further 5lb despite not handling the Fibresand at Southwell last time. Chingachgook steps up from 7f as he goes handicapping for the first time but was behind runner-up ODE TO AUTUMN at Lingfield earlier. The latter has subsequently recorded a facile six-length win over course and distance and there should be more to come from John Gosden’s charge.
