In depth

Verdict

Iron Sheriff has won three of his last five outings including a course and distance success and is raised a further 6lb. Broctune Red never threatened when third here recently while several are upped in trip. Hooflepuff won at Wolverhampton earlier and Hildegard has placed at the same track while MASS CONSUMPTION (NAP) finished runner-up to a subsequent handicap winner in maiden company on his reappearance. He makes his all-weather and handicap debut today having recently switched to Brian Ellison’s yard and the latter sent out last year’s winner of this.
