In depth

Verdict

This should lie between On The Brink, Danehill Stroller and Circuit Dancer, and we just side with the latter. Alan Berry's charge beat Danehill Stroller by two lengths at Haydock last month, and a four pound pull may not be enough to reverse the tables. Circuit Dancer has since run well, finishing second in his two subsequent starts, and is well suited by the conditions of this race. Since that Haydock run, Danehill Stroller has gone on to win a handicap at Doncaster but was rather disappointing at Ripon on his latest start. On The Brink was behind him on that occasion, but Tim Easterby's filly was a good second at Pontefract before that, and a reproduction of that effort would give her a leading chance here. However, Circuit Dancer is in a rich vein of form, and we take him to score again here under Fergal Lynch.
