With so many of these running poorly last time we will side with the seasonal debutante Braddock, stable companion Sir Orpen and Crosby Vision could provide most danger. Paul Fessey rides Braddock who is unbeaten from two runs last season. The second success came in a Souwell handicap when beating the now 84 rated Rebellious Spirit. Taken literally today's mark of 71 for the selection seems pretty lenient and if fit he should take a deal of beating. Sir Orpen started this campaign with a victory at Catterick and wasn't disgraced in a competitive event at the same track next time out. Meanwhile Crosby Vision looks set to improve on his return when finishing a decent fourth behind Flying Bantam. Marshman is another to keep on the right side as he has now dropped to a very tempting mark, however Braddock is open to plenty of improvement and he is our choice in a pretty modest event.
