Verdict

Barry Potts sends Niki Royal over from Ireland and the Kirkistown point-to-point winner could be anything. Tanzanite Bay, who landed a bumper on good ground at Cheltenham last April, ran too poorly to be true on her hurdling bow at Ayr last month and can surely do much better but the overall form of THORNTON ALICE looks too strong for her. Richard Phillips' mare showed promise in bumpers and did very well to finish runner-up to Empress Orchid over the C&D last month and the winner has since gained an even more convincing success. It will be a surprise if she meets one as good here and should gain her first success.
