A wide open contest rounds off the card and many would have chances on their best form but the principals look to be Assumetheposition. Persian Point and French Cedar and the tentative vote goes to the last named. The selection hails from a shrewd yard, has conditions to suit and with the booking of Tony Dobbin catching the eye he will be hard to beat off what looks a fair mark. Assumetheposition rates the main danger on his latest second behind Silver Sedge but he is far from consistent so can not be put forward with any confidence. Persian Point is another worthy of respect as he was a fair second behind Pebble Bay but that was in a seller and this looks more competitive so he is overlooked on this occasion. Signed And Dated was a fair fourth behind Count Fosco last time and he runs off the same mark here so he has definite place claims. Of the remainder Ringside Jack and Loscar are from shrewd yards and are worth noting in the market, but in a race that throws up more questions than answers for the winner we return to French Cedar.
