Telemoss, who was fourth in the stayers hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival behind Baracouda, is taken to maintain his unbeaten record over fences. The gelding from the Nicky Richards yard won well at Kelso and Ayr and with conditions in his favour he is impossible to oppose. Sir Storm was a fair third behind Farmer Jack at Haydock last time out but he needs to improve again to defeat Telemoss, despite the weight concession. Captaintwothousand has also shown a modicum of ability but he needs to improve on his latest fifth behind Lord Jack to score. Elvis Reigns was a winner in the mud at Cartmel but he has disappointed on faster ground of late. The remainder need to improve on all known form to take a hand in the finish.
