Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

TAMAYEF made a winning start over track and trip three weeks ago. Hugo Palmer’s colt makes more appeal than the other recent maiden winner Election Day, who had earlier finished behind runner-up Thorndyke at Chester. The remaining trio all raced in higher grade handicaps last time without threatening. Temerity finished ahead of George Reme at Ayr but Haulani looks a bigger threat on his fourth in Class 2 company at Newmarket and could go well again.
