In depth

Verdict

CALYPSO improved with each run in the autumn and his second at Wolverhampton has been boosted by the third, who has won both subsequent starts. Falcon Nine gradually improved last summer though looked as though further would suit while Time Traveller did not enjoy heavy ground at Redcar and should do better on this surface. Calluna has had wind surgery since a moderate run over 6f here while Centre Court was twice narrowly beaten over 7f here in the autumn after a successful debut at Newmarket. Tiamat made a winning debut over 7f here and was by no means disgraced in a novices‘; contest at Newmarket later. Vampire Slayer showed potential over this trip in Ireland so did well to finish second over 6f here in January.
