In depth

Verdict

Next Hight finished a lot close at Sedgefield last week and should be in the mix once again. But RUBY BAY went close at Southwell on his first start since last year and makes more appeal representing Sue Smith's in-form yard. Top Billing disappointed in testing ground when sent off favourite at Carlisle but has claims on his earlier second at Kelso, while Blue Sea Of Ibrox finished well ahead of Jan Smuts when fourth at the same track before a poor effort at Towcester.
