Scotch Corner has a solid formbook chance to land this prize although Riyadh and Leopard Spot look sure to make Antony Evans work hard for the winners percentage. Nigel Twiston Davies' charge lost no caste in defeat at Aintree on soft ground but the fact that he was so well backed suggests that he has shown plenty enough at home to warrant running him again under a penalty. Riyadh is very much the personification of the term "quirky". A rare runner under National Hunt rules for Mark Johnston, he is very much a law unto himself and is impossible to predict with any certainty. Leopard Spot is consistent but arguably better with some cut in the ground. Theatre Knight, like the majority of Howard Johnson's horses can be expected to go better for the run. Lost Boy may find this on breeding to be plenty sharp enough while Tynedale could be of interest on graduation to hurdles. Scotch Corner has a solid formbook chance and is not opposed.
