In depth

Verdict

Amlad was beaten only a length in this grade at Pontefract last time and can race off the same mark. But HUMBLE HERO (NAP) faced a tougher task over 1m6f at Haydock and faded in the closing stages. A winner over today’s trip at Doncaster before that, the Haggas colt gets the vote dropping back down in class and distance. New Society moves in the opposite direction having gone close in a Class 5 contest here last month while Doctor Bartolo is upped in trip and Voski continues to struggle despite sliding down the weights.
