    Verdict

Venturous won three of his last four starts at the end of last year and was too good for Exalted Angel on a couple of occasions. He should be in the mix again on these terms but Stuart Williams’ yard is enjoying a purple patch at the moment and ROYAL BIRTH is taken to land a hat-trick. The latter beat Ornate at Lingfield before last week’s success at the same track and is preferred to stablemate Tawny Port. Lomu won a lower grade sprint over track and trip earlier while the unexposed novice winner Bomb Proof returns to action having gone well fresh before.
