Verdict
CALL OUT LOUD (NAP) was denied close home over course and distance last week when attempting to make all. A similar effort should see him go one better and Mick Appleby’s charge can confirm latest running with Portledge in the process. Custard The Dragon has recorded six of his seven wins at Southwell and went close at that venue on New Year’s Day. But he also finished runner-up when last racing over track and trip and is preferred to Helovaplan with the latter dropping down in distance. Luis Vaz De Torres can race off a lower mark back on the all-weather and should be sharper for a recent comeback run.
