In depth

Verdict

Maori Knight and Gallaside were both well beaten in a tougher handicap at Ascot and can do better back at this level but FIJI (NAP) also drops in class. The Lingfield novice winner finished last of four in the Listed Derby trial at Goodwood but that was won by subsequent Derby runner-up Khalifa Sat so David Simcock’s colt gets another chance in this. Craylands and Master The Stars are others handicapping for the time while Maqtal may improve fitted with headgear and Festival Day should appreciate this extra distance.
