Alexandrakollontai finished ahead of Edgar Balthazar when winning last year’s renewal and was beaten less than a length in a tougher race at Newmarket last time. But he was behind runner-up WAARIF over track and trip last month and, given the latter was having his first start of the year on that occasion, David O’Meara’s charge is expected to be sharper today. Testa Rossa has something to find with the selection and 1m2f winner Pouvoir Magique drops down to a mile for the first time but Prying Pandora won off a similar mark here earlier in the season.
