    Verdict

There was little between runner-up Frank The Barber and fourth-placed Life of Fame over track and trip last time. Whipphound beat Minty Jones and Mercers Row when scoring at Catterick and is 3lb higher while Tinsill has not won for over a year now but went close on testing ground at Hamilton in September. Lady Bacchus drops down to 5f for the first time while YOUNG TIGER drops in class after making his handicap debut at Nottingham. The least exposed in this, Tom Tate’s charge may find enough improvement to go close.
