Verdict

BAVINGTON BOB has done Ann Hamilton's yard proud having won six of 14 races including his last three, the latest two at this level. He's up 5lb for last month's success at Carlisle but should complete a four-timer and remain unbeaten on this track. Geryville has done well since arriving from France, though a 10lb rise for a very easy victory at Wetherby has halted his progress and his last two runs have been in three-runner races. The Ferry Master, placed in last year's Scottish National, will have found 2m3f much too short at Wetherby last time while Grand Sefton winner Mac Tottie has been racing at a higher level and is by no means out of this.
