PLUS JAMAIS has only won once in 14 starts over fences but has been in very good form on testing ground over hurdles. He's generally consistent against better opposition than this over the bigger obstacles and should have the edge over Whiskey Chaser. Donald McCain's charge was in cracking form at this time a year ago so could be a spring horse though he's been disappointing subsequently and was beaten a very long way when runner-up at Uttoxeter last time. Mossies Well made a successful chasing debut over the minimum at Hexham in November but has failed to build on that since tackling longer trips.

Whiskey Chaser (IRE) 7-2cfav (11-6) Tracked leaders, ridden and outpaced 4 out, went moderate 3rd from 2 out, plugged on to take 2nd place after last, no chance with winner, 2nd of 9, 37l behind Lunar Flow (10-1) at Uttoxeter 3m hcp (4) hvy in Feb.
