Verdict

Edgar Balthazar would have gone very close at Redcar last month had he not missed the break but he couldn't cope with a higher mark at Doncaster last Saturday. But Alaskan Wing picked up the winning thread again at Catterick on Tuesday and Keith Dalgleish is clearly trying to strike while the iron is hot with the son of Kodiac. PERARDUA got nowhere near the latter over 6f at Catterick early last month but a 15lb turnaround in the weights and a drop in trip can see Richard Fahey's filly reverse the form and she's preferred to recent Catterick scorer Perfect Peak.
