Sphinx has outside claims at this level with a recent pipe-opener under his belt though Shifting Gold tends to save his best for Southwell nowadays. Generous Dream has a decent shout back over today's trip judged on her earlier victory at Ripon but KEY GOLD makes more appeal. She's been running well over shorter distances in much better company than this and the half-sister to a 2m winner should have no problems with the extra test of stamina. Bandanaman won an amateurs race at Carlisle in August and Luctor Emergo has had easier chances of late and failed.
