        Verdict

        Upholland was expected to do better dropped in class for his latest start at Hamilton. But he failed to land the odds and steps up in trip today. Scurr Mist and Where's Tiger are others who may finish closer but it would be no surprise if one of the newcomers proved good enough. Nabeel and Branston De Soto are worth keeping an eye on in the betting but LAT HAWILL is preferred. Costing 10,000gns as a yearling, he must have matured quickly as his price went up to 230,000gns at this year's sales so Marco Botti's colt gets a speculative vote.
