In depth

Verdict

JEAN BAPTISTE gets a speculative vote in a field of mostly unexposed three-year-olds handicapping for the first time. Narrowly beaten over today’s trip at Kempton on his last couple of outings, he’s been gelded subsequently and Sir Michael Stoute has an impressive strike rate at this venue. Custodian shares ownership with the selection and won at Pontefract back in August while Overwrite scored easily at Brighton in October. Amazing News won a novice event at Wolverhampton and is another to consider while Canagat and Melody King are both winners over 7f though Yorkshire Gold scored over 6f at Leicester. Borsdane Wood has won a handicap at Southwell though this is much tougher.
