Council Member should be good enough to get favourite backers off to a winning start with Juantorena and Mozafin put forward as the main dangers. The selection was an expensive purchase and is a well-bred colt and with the Godolphin string now beginning to find their form it would be a surprise if he were not able to make a winning debut. Juantorena made a pleasing debut behind Destinate at Newmarket and should be winning races before too long. He may benefit from the drop in trip and with conditions to suit he could be capable of a big run. Mozafin is another well-bred colt and as Mick Channon has a good record in these type of events he is another that has to be respected. Of the remainder, Misty Miller showed some promise on his debut behind Bigalos Bandit and he will appreciate this faster ground. However, Council Member is the one that stands out here and he is taken to make a winning racecourse debut.
