In depth

Verdict

Clear White Light has a Flat pedigree but changed hands for only £3,000 last year. Punxsutawney Phil is a full brother to a winner on the level and a half-brother to winning hurdler Nordic Combined so well worth a market check and Party Business was a €40,000 purchase. NORTHERN FALCON showed definite promise in what was probably a decent bumper at Sedgefield and the booking of Aidan Coleman may be significant. He’s preferred to Okavango Delta, who went close over track and trip last month after a third on Turf here in November. Doncaster fourth Jomont is also interesting.
