Rescheduled from Doncaster last Saturday, Aidan O’Brien runs five in this Group 1 contest having won the last two renewals. MOGUL looks to have the best chance of those after landing the odds in a Group 2 at Leopardstown with Royal County Down behind but Innisfree is not out of this either on the back of victory in the Group 2 Beresford Stakes at the Curragh. New World Tapestry and Year Of The Tiger make up the Ballydoyle quintet, though the latter finished behind Royal Lodge runner-up Kameko at Newmarket last month and Andrew Balding’s colt has a shout. Geometrical beat the selection at Gowran back in August while novice winner Kinross and King Of The Throne have been supplemented for this, though the latter has plenty to find. John Gosden runs two with Godolphin’s Verboten preferred to Cherokee Trail but Listed winner Tammani scored easily in France last week and the Haggas colt looks a bigger threat.
