      Verdict

      Porrima returned to action last week with a course and distance success but is penalised today. Elixsoft was also returning from an absence when fourth here recently and should do better but PLAYFULL SPIRIT gets another chance. She’s making hard work of opening her account but the Gosden filly has gone close the last twice now and first-time headgear may bring the small amount of improvement needed to get her head in front. Lucky Violet wasn’t beaten far here before disappointing last time but Hippeia has her first start since April last year.
