Rock Warbler and Capolavoro won their respective penultimate starts but have both been beaten subsequently, though the former went close again over a mile here. Richard Fahey and Paul Hanagan renew their old partnership with the latter getting the leg-up on MEHDI, who was not beaten far when second in a claimer at Wolverhampton to a horse rated 75. That form gives him a chance in this and he may well record his first win since 2011. Jubilee Brig, Jacquotte Delahaye and Mime Dance have slipped down the weights and occasionally run into a place when the mood takes them.
