Verdict

FINGAL BAY has passed every test so far with flying colours, finding plenty to maintain his unbeaten record under Rules when challenged by the well-regarded Simonsig in a Grade 2 at Sandown last time. Also successful at Chepstow and Cheltenham this season at that level, he can take this slight elevation in class in his stride. Top Of The Range is also unbeaten so far and can only improve on his Ffos Las win, which proved he handles soft ground. Ballyrock upset hotpot One Term at Hereford earlier this month and Double Ross won easily at Folkestone but both have a lot more on their plate here while Fill The Power has already been beaten in a handicap. Hard To Swallow was just starting to feel the pinch when he fell behind the selection at Chepstow in October and will struggle to turn things around today after a break.
